Sue Breakwell

Integrative Counsellor for children, young people, adults and older adults

I work either online or in person (booking a room near the centre of Reading). I’m a creative integrative counsellor with a person-centred core. This means I choose from a range of theories and approaches to find the best fit for you. These often include aspects of person-centred theory, Transactional Analysis, psychodynamic theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and creative methods.

You can bring anything you want to talk about, and we’ll explore it together to help you find ways to make changes or find different perspectives.

I have lived experience of neurodivergence (late-diagnosed AuDHD) and I know that many ND clients, especially young people, find it helpful to see a therapist who has that understanding of the issues and challenges that come with having those differences.

My background in the education and mental health sectors also provide me with knowledge of the impact of things like exam pressures or imposter syndrome can have on wellbeing.
